Witches Burr Botanical Wreath
Made entirely from witches burrs — the spiky seed pods of the sweet gum tree — this wreath is as rich in folklore as it is in texture. In American folk magic and Hoodoo tradition, witches burrs have long been used for protection. Hung over a doorway they are said to ward off negative energy and keep unwanted forces at bay. Their armor-like spikes are not just striking — they are symbolic. Nature literally built these to protect what is inside.
Every burr on this wreath was gathered from our own sweet gum tree here on the farm in Mount Clemens, Michigan. No two are exactly alike. The warm cinnamon brown tones make it a stunning piece for fall and well into winter.
A wreath for the witchy, the nature-obsessed, and anyone who just really appreciates something genuinely one of a kind on their front door.
Size: 20 inches at the widest diameter.
Care:
Dried botanicals are low maintenance but not totally care-free. Keep away from direct sunlight which will fade the color over time. Avoid humid environments — a covered porch is fine, but do not leave it out in rain or damp conditions. To clean, a gentle puff of compressed air or a soft dry brush works beautifully. No water, ever.
